Congratulations to Kate McCabe who was awarded the Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence. Kate is a SelfDesign learning consultant, coordinator of SelfDesign’s Vancouver learning center, as well as the Director of Creative Minds Early Learning and also currently working on a PhD – busy bee! Kate brings so much to SelfDesign’s programs, inspiring community and connection.

The award was a recognition that a small number of people (my colleagues and I) can make a difference in the lives of children and their families. It reminded me to keep working on projects that respond to the needs families and to continue to look outside common solutions and ways of working to help make children’s lives as playful as they were meant to be. -Kate McCabe
