SelfDesigners of All Ages Enjoyed Another Manning Park Family Gathering!

From May 1st – 4th, SelfDesign families converged on Manning Park for another ‘weekend workshop’ and it proved to be as rich and fun as our three previous gatherings in 2014. Congratulations to SelfDesigner, Rupert Yakelashek, of Victoria, BC who has been added to The Starfish’s ‘Top 25 Environmentalists Under 25’ 2015 list! Astrid’s Art

Congratulations to high school SelfDesigner, Astrid, on exhibiting her photography in two art exhibitions, in the western Vancouver Island communities of Uclelet and Tofino, respectively. The artists in the exhibitions explored "Isolation and Connection" and young artists from Ahousaht, Ucluelet, Tofino and Hitacu submitted their art work. Stellar Films At This Year’s Youth Film Festival

The Youth Film Festival, held April 15-16 in Nelson, was a hit! 18 short films from young filmmakers aged 13-30 were submitted from around the province, and 12 were selected in the documentary, fiction, sports, art, and animation genres to be screened at the festival.
