Honeybees, GameCon and Friends

A Successful Makers Faire

The Vancouver Mini Maker Faire, now in its 5th year, attracted several thousand attendees over the course of this two day event. SelfDesigners of All Ages Enjoyed Another Manning Park Family Gathering!

Congratulations to SelfDesigner, Rupert Yakelashek, of Victoria, BC who has been added to The Starfish’s ‘Top 25 Environmentalists Under 25’ 2015 list! Astrid’s Art

Congratulations to high school SelfDesigner, Astrid, on exhibiting her photography in two art exhibitions, in the western Vancouver Island communities of Uclelet and Tofino, respectively. The artists in the exhibitions explored "Isolation and Connection" and young artists from Ahousaht, Ucluelet, Tofino and Hitacu submitted their art work. Winner at Youth Film Festival

Stellar Films At This Year’s Youth Film Festival

The Youth Film Festival, held April 15-16 in Nelson, was a hit! 18 short films from young filmmakers aged 13-30 were submitted from around the province, and 12 were selected in the documentary, fiction, sports, art, and animation genres to be screened at the festival.
