Acceptance and support for all facets of diversity is woven into every aspect of our organization and programs.

It’s National Occupational Health and Safety Week, but at SelfDesign, we consider the health, safety and wellness of all members of our community a priority every day of the year. We understand that when we feel our best, we can do our best. We know that collaborating with our community to support its overall wellbeing will help us to continue delivering what we consider to be the best educational opportunities available to learners in B.C.

Although many families spend much of their time learning at home and in their community, when SelfDesign learners do use technology for learning, we take their online safety very seriously.

Whether it's around sexual orientation and gender identity, or issues related to the interconnected nature of different aspects of identity and diversity – such as race, religion and ability – SelfDesign_® has always strived to be, and prided itself on being, an inclusive place where learners are comfortable to be themselves authentically.
